My name is Daniyal Ahmad, and I’m a freelance WordPress developer, technical SEO specialist, and Elementor designer based in Chishtian, Pakistan. I’ve been working independently since I was a teenager โ teaching myself web development, practising SEO on my own projects, and eventually taking on client work through Upwork. Today I have more than 70 completed projects on my Upwork profile and over 45 five-star client reviews from businesses in the US, UK, Australia, Canada, and the UAE. This page gives you a complete picture of who I am and what I do.

What I Do
My work spans four main areas that tend to complement each other in practice:
- WordPress Development: Building sites from the ground up โ Elementor page designs, custom theme implementation, WooCommerce shops, plugin configuration, and full site migrations. Most of my clients come to me with an existing WordPress site that needs serious improvement, not just cosmetic changes.
- Technical SEO: Crawl audits using Screaming Frog and Google Search Console, fixing indexing problems, site structure improvements, Core Web Vitals optimisation, and schema markup implementation. This is where I spend the most time on most engagements.
- Elementor Design: I work almost exclusively in Elementor Pro for front-end builds. I’m comfortable with responsive design, custom CSS, global styles, and Elementor’s Theme Builder for headers, footers, and archive templates.
- Email Automation: Mailchimp, Klaviyo, and basic ActiveCampaign setups โ welcome sequences, segmentation, and abandoned cart flows for WooCommerce stores.
Most projects combine at least two of these areas. A client who hires me for a WordPress build almost always wants their new site set up correctly for SEO from day one. A client who brings me in for an SEO audit often has WordPress-specific technical issues I fix directly rather than leaving them with a report and a list of problems.
Background and Experience
I grew up in Chishtian, a city in Bahawalnagar District, Punjab, Pakistan. My interest in computers and the internet started early, and I taught myself web development through a combination of tutorials, experimentation, and building small projects for people in my local community.
I joined Upwork in my early career and worked through the usual freelance challenges โ building a profile from zero, handling scope creep on early projects, learning how to write proposals that explain value rather than just describe services. The learning curve was steep but the work was real. By the time I’d completed my first dozen projects, I had a clear sense of which types of work I was best at and which client relationships produced the best outcomes.
The pattern I see in my most successful projects: clients who have a clear goal, a realistic timeline, and a willingness to treat their website as an ongoing investment rather than a one-time expense. Those engagements produce good results for both sides.
For a broader look at what working as a freelance SEO professional from Pakistan looks like โ and what it takes to compete globally from this market โ my freelancing guide for Pakistan covers the practical side in detail.
Working With Me on Upwork
The majority of my client engagements start on Upwork. I use the platform for contracts, payments, and dispute resolution โ the infrastructure it provides takes significant overhead off both sides of a freelance engagement, particularly for clients based in North America and Europe who are working with a Pakistan-based contractor for the first time.
What a typical Upwork engagement with me looks like:
- Initial message: I ask a few clarifying questions about your site, your goals, and your timeline. This isn’t a formality โ the answers directly shape what I’ll propose and price.
- Proposal and contract: For most technical SEO and WordPress projects I use a fixed-price contract with clearly defined deliverables. For ongoing work I use hourly contracts with weekly caps and detailed activity logs.
- Access and onboarding: I request WP Admin access, Google Search Console access, and hosting panel access where relevant. I don’t need FTP or cPanel for most work โ WP Admin and hosting file manager handle the majority of tasks.
- Work and communication: I update clients through Upwork messages at each significant milestone. I don’t disappear after the contract starts โ responsive communication is a standard part of how I work, not an add-on.
- Delivery and review: For SEO work, I deliver a documented summary of every change made and why. For development work, I walk through what was built and how to manage it going forward.
Services in Detail
Technical SEO Audit
A full audit covers: indexing status, crawl configuration, robots.txt, XML sitemap, site structure, internal linking, on-page SEO (title tags, meta descriptions, headings, schema), Core Web Vitals, and backlink profile analysis. I produce a prioritised list of issues with recommended fixes rather than a bulk export of everything Screaming Frog found. My technical SEO audit guide explains the process I follow in detail.
WordPress Build and Redesign
I work with established themes (Astra, GeneratePress, Hello Elementor) and custom Elementor builds. I don’t use page builders other than Elementor. For WooCommerce projects I handle product configuration, payment gateway setup, and basic shipping logic โ advanced shipping integrations and custom WooCommerce development outside standard plugin functionality is outside my usual scope.
On-Page SEO Implementation
RankMath setup, title and meta description optimisation, heading structure, internal link building, image alt text, and schema markup. I work directly in WordPress rather than producing recommendations for someone else to implement โ which means the work actually gets done, not just documented. For more on the on-page side, see my local SEO work as SEO expert in Chishtian.
Email Automation Setup
Mailchimp and Klaviyo integrations with WordPress and WooCommerce, basic welcome sequences, and abandoned cart automations. I don’t build complex multi-branch behavioural automations or write long-form email copy โ that’s a different specialisation.
Who I Work With Best
Most of my clients are small to medium businesses โ typically with 5โ100 pages, an existing WordPress site, and a clear gap between where they currently rank and where they want to be. A significant portion are service businesses in competitive local markets who need both better technical SEO and a more professional web presence.
The projects I’m least suited for: enterprise-scale e-commerce with complex custom development requirements, campaigns requiring large-scale content production at high velocity, or projects where the client needs a full-service agency team (account manager, strategist, content team, developer) rather than a focused individual contractor.
If you’re not sure whether your project fits what I do, the fastest approach is to send me a message through Upwork or the contact form on this site. I’ll tell you honestly whether I’m the right fit or point you toward someone who is.
Frequently Asked Questions
Where is Daniyal Ahmad based?
I’m based in Chishtian, Punjab, Pakistan. I work with clients globally across all time zones โ most of my project communication happens asynchronously, which means time zone differences rarely create practical problems. For clients who need synchronous calls, I’m available for morning calls in Pakistan Standard Time (UTC+5), which overlaps with North American evenings and European mornings.
How do I hire Daniyal Ahmad?
The most direct route is through my Upwork profile, where you can review my work history, client reviews, and portfolio before reaching out. Alternatively, use the contact form on this site to describe your project and I’ll respond within 24 hours with clarifying questions or a proposal outline.
What makes Daniyal Ahmad different from other WordPress and SEO freelancers?
The combination of technical SEO and WordPress development in a single contractor is less common than it sounds โ most people who do one well don’t have deep experience in the other. When I do an SEO audit on a WordPress site, I can implement the fixes immediately rather than writing a recommendation document for a developer to action later. That shortens the time between identifying an issue and resolving it significantly.
Does Daniyal Ahmad work with clients outside Pakistan?
Yes โ the majority of my clients are based outside Pakistan. My Upwork client list includes businesses from the United States, United Kingdom, Australia, Canada, Saudi Arabia, UAE, and several European countries. Working with international clients through Upwork is straightforward for both sides โ contracts, milestones, and payments are all handled through the platform.
